Vanderburgh Homeless Connect, sponsored by the Commission on Homelessness and other community partners, will take place on Thursday, March 21, from 9:00am-2:00pm at The Old National Events Plaza Exhibit Hall. People in our area who are homeless or near-homeless are invited and welcomed to the event.
Project Homeless Connect is a one-day, one-stop event sponsored by community leaders and designed to provide various services and hospitality in a convenient one-stop model directly to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Free services include Housing - Legal Advice - Credit Checks - Birth Certificates - Job-Finding Help - Tax Preparation - Parent Resources - Veterans Services - Health Screenings - Education Services - Childcare Referrals -Financial Assistance - Relationship Resources –Foreclosure Mitigation – Public Assistance Applications – Utility Bill Consultation – Re-Entry Services - Recovery Groups – Internet Access – Haircuts and Lunch.
